London Fashion Week

Well I have had the most amazing day a fashion blogger could possibly have and yes I do mean I just got back from THE HOLY GRAIL of fashion and yes I do mean London fashion week. Firstly I'd like to thank Vauxhall fashion scout for the invitations, LFW for the press pass, the body shop for the free lipsticks and all the street style photographers who took my photo today. And anyone who wore such a gorgeous outfit I had to stop and take a photo and the designers for their contact details and taking the time to let me ask them questions. Finally thank you to Diana from http://www.warwornfashion.com/ the  day was absalutley amazing and I couldn't have done it without all of your expertise.
The day begun with me nervously getting dressed ( into the tweed outfit i wrote about in my last post Preparing for the fall and putting on my new boots which in honour of LFW there was a 70 pound splurge on, you can see why though as they are ridiculously beautiful. I then had a (kind of) excuse for breakfast and made my way up to London. This actually turned out to be way more stressful than planned as I had to stand for two hours in brand new boots. Upon arrival in London I had the freak out we all knew I would have when I saw Somerset house looming up in the distance. I quickly found myself registering and without having to fill out any ludicrously long application forms like the other bloggers the lovely man at the desk gave me a press pass (perks of being young in the industry) and I wandered through to the exhibitions. The rooms were filled with the most exquisite jewellery, scarves and clothes. From Simone Rocha to Giles Deacon to the room filled with fridges filled with free drinks and a MAC makeup stall it was basically my own private heaven. Each room was filled not only with the most gorgeous items but with the most gorgeous people, each person about 6ft, tall gorgeous and none of them had their natural hair colour (me included). It was an opportunity to good to miss, I photographed anyone incredibly gorgeous or with an incredible outfit and likewise got shot about 3/4 times.
I spent about an hour here and simply soaked up the experience before thanking everyone who I had interviewed (they will be posted at a later date) and made my way to Vauxhall Fashion Scout for the Krystof  Stroenza show. And, being the incredibly enthusiastic teenage blogger/editor I am I was about an hour early and again thanks to the staff was shown to the press room, here I chatted to extremely gorgeous girls in Kawaii about which lipstick would suit me (it was decided they all would so they popped them all in my bag) and took use of the free Vita Coco and popcorn on offer. The show itself was simply amazing Krystoff managed to predict summer 2013 in a way that likened itself to Elizabeth Taylor as Helen of troy yet with the modern incarnations of ancient ideals of beauty.
The collection showed three main colours in its palette: Lilac, white and coral broken by the infusions of stronger colours in the prints. Like a slightly more sophisticated version of the summer that has just faded away. The sharp silhouettes of these designs is a definite step away from the ethereal frills and chiffons we've been seeing over the summer of 2012 and carry's the feeling of autumn and winter gliding through to summer. Frankly I was surprised that Krystof Stroenza wasn't a larger design label, the designs were so sophisticated and elegant that they resembled that of perhaps a young Louis Vuitton.

I will post the interviews with separate designers later this week (just to get you curious may I just mention one was based on the Chanel tweeds but with a 3D factor and another based on tastebuds?...)

The Krystof s/s13 show.

Sharp silhouettes and pale hues of purple and coral storm the catwalk...

The free body shop lipstick as supplied for the fashion bloggers in the press lounge at fashion scout.
Me being snapped by a street style photographer I am looking neither happy or photogenic as I had just left my final show and was ready to relax in the patisserie but fashion stops for no one. Even when you don't have the power to pose, smile or in any form raise an eyebrow. Above is pictured my beloved Cambridge satchel fluro pink bag which I am sure is the reason the street style bloggers got their cameras out.

The Fashion Scout Venue itself at Freemasons hall.

These boots are just the simple epitome of perfection, the soft leather and glinting studs made them LFW proof AND (who would have thought) catching the tube all day proof.

That is of course what I wore today going with the whole A/W trends theme just with an added neon satchel of course..
All in all it was an amazing day and I will be posting the interviews through out the week.
All my love,

Emily x

PS: LFW, the designers, the people and the atmosphere
will of course be featured in the magazine.
